WoW Life Coash - Slow Down

Today, we are discussing slowing down, and how we can use the Panda Mantra to our advantage

"Slow Down" - we hear it all the time while we are in the continent of Pandaria - so how can we use that to our advantage both in game and in real life

One of the things that I find fascinating about the new Mists of Pandaria expansion is how they seemed to have blend parts of Asian influenced culture within the game environment. The scenery, the music, the new gear - its all been done very well and seems to transport us effortlessly into this new world to be discovered.

The pandas there are constantly telling us to "slow down", and while many have proposed that this is Blizzards trying to tell us to stop going through the content they put out at lightning speed, I propose that we can find deeper meaning in the message.

When we are faced with a difficult situation, whether it be in game or in real life, we can use this "slow down" concept to our advantage. We can step back, take a breath and re-evaluate the situation instead of the knee jerk reaction that we are usually accustomed to making. A good example of this in game is a situation that occurs very frequently when we are out doing dailies in MoP - ganking. When we are trying to get those dailies done and then we are facing the challenge of PvP, it can be very frustrating. Instead of letting this frustration build up in our bodies, resulting in not only mental stress but also physical effects like tension in our bodies, we can simply step back for a moment. We can "choose" to stay stressed or we can log out for a bit until the PvPer leaves or log into an alt.

Another thing that we can do to "slow down" is to take our time in game and in real life to appreciate the scenery around us. As I mentioned above, the scenery and music in game, especially in the new MoP areas is amazingly beautiful. Some of the areas are very relaxing and we can take the time to look around and listen to the music instead of rushing through our time in game.

I hope that you find these ideas to be useful for you, both in game and out of game.
